In 2026, Peter Hook & The Light marks five decades of groundbreaking music with a special career-spanning show at Manchester Academy. Taking place on 4 June 2026—50 years to the day since The Sex Pistols’ legendary Manchester gig that inspired Hooky to buy his first bass—the night will celebrate his work across Warsaw, Joy Division, New Order, Revenge, Monaco and Freebass.

Hooky, a pivotal figure in post-punk and electronic music, helped shape the sound of Joy Division before redefining modern alternative music with New Order. Since 2010, he has revisited his influential catalogue live, performing every Joy Division and New Order album in full and completing over 800 shows worldwide.

Joined by Buzzcocks, who also celebrate their own 50 years, bringing classics like “Ever Fallen in Love” and “Harmony In My Head.”
