Louder Than War has been a cultural force at the heart of the UK’s alternative music scene for over 15 years, championing new bands and artists and bringing them to the fore. Now, in collaboration with event professionals, Ghostwriter, we bring you Louder Than War Live! The physical manifestation of our passion and belief in the power of rock and roll.

Our Editor John Robb is a leading influencer on the UK music scene, so it’s fitting that our festival takes place in Manchester. The city’s Academy with its multiple performance spaces, has been the beating heart of the city for more than 30 years, reflecting the breadth of the Britain’s music culture, acting as a springboard for new talent, and shining a cool spotlight on some of the bigger names that we have helped put on the map.

Louder Than War Live! is a high decibel celebration of music that’s core to UK culture. From post punk to electronica, from guitar bands to acoustic sets and in-conversations. A no holds barred, maverick event not to be missed – a celebration of everything we stand for!
