Cardiacs are unlike any other band. Formed around the visionary genius of Tim Smith, their music has always defied genre, combining punk energy, pop sensibility, theatrical chaos and moments of startling beauty.

Following Tim’s passing in 2020, his brother and bandmate Jim Smith, along with long-time collaborator Kavus Torabi, gathered a close circle of friends to finish the album Tim had been working on before his illness. With contributions from across the Cardiacs family, LSD stands as a 17-song celebration of Tim’s life and work, drawing on the playful pop of Spratleys Japs, the folk-horror inflections of The Sea Nymphs, and the monumental sweep of classic Cardiacs records like Sing To God.

Now joined by new vocalist Mike Vennart (Biffy Clyro, Oceansize, Empire State Bastard), Cardiacs return to the stage to perform songs from LSD alongside favourites from across their history. It’s both a tribute and a continuation: music that refuses to be pinned down, alive with invention, humour and heart.
